Thousands of residents are currently without electricity as utility companies work to restore power. The outages are primarily affecting areas serviced by PPL and Met-Ed.
According to a report from the Reading Eagle, the strong winds began on Monday (February 17), leading to widespread disruptions. Utility crews are on the ground assessing damage and working to restore power as quickly as possible. Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid downed power lines.
The power companies have not provided an estimated time for full restoration, but efforts are ongoing. Residents are encouraged to report outages and check for updates through their utility providers' websites or customer service lines.
