FTC Makes It Easier To Cancel Digital Subscriptions
(Washington, DC) -- The Federal Trade Commission is making it easier to cancel digital subscriptions. It announced it would soon put in place a "final click to cancel rule." It would require sellers to make it "as easy for consumers to cancel their enrollment as it was to sign up." FTC Chair Lina Khan said that the rule will end businesses' "tricks and traps," saying they "make people jump through endless hoops just to cancel a subscription."
