Harrisburg Senators baseball is back, with the team set to open the 2026 Double-A season this week — first on the road, then at home before cheering fans on City Island.
The Sens hit the road first, traveling to Altoona, Pennsylvania, to face the Altoona Curve on Thursday (April 2). The opening series gives the club a chance to shake off the offseason rust before returning to Harrisburg.
Home fans won't have to wait long. According to the team's official ticket page, Opening Night at FNB Field is set for Tuesday (April 7), when the Senators welcome the Akron RubberDucks to City Island. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free clear Senators bag, presented by First National Bank. A balloon twister and face painter will also be on hand, and the night wraps up with a postgame fireworks show to officially launch the season.
Throughout the 2026 campaign, the team has loaded the schedule with themed nights and fan events. Highlights include Wet Nose Wednesdays — where fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark — along with Agriculture Night, Military Appreciation Night, Cinco de Mayo celebrations, and the return of the team's popular Copa de la Diversión identity as the Los Playeros de Harrisburg. The Senators will also transform into the Harrisburg Mayflies on multiple dates, a nod to the famous insect swarms along the Susquehanna River.
Fans looking to attend multiple games this season should note that the online ticketing system only allows one game to be added to a cart per transaction, so separate purchases are required for each game. Tickets for the road opener in Altoona are available through Ticketmaster, while Vivid Seats is also offering tickets for upcoming home games at FNB Field. Single-game tickets for all home dates can be purchased at milb.com/harrisburg.
